THE PINES, known as the Winston K. Proffit homeplace, was built circa 1900. Winston K. and his wife Esther Gay Brame, raised a family of five girls in the home. Winston K. was a very active merchant and businessman in the county. The home has been in the Proffit family since it’s construction.
