August – Terry Cabin

Previous < > Next

The Terry/West cabin was constructed circa 1831 at around the time of Floyd County’s formation. The family attributes the cabin to Eurah West Terry (1801–1839), wife of William and mother of Samuel A. Terry.  Samuel Terry planted the English boxwoods which were originally a gift of Dr. C.M. Stigleman, Mayor of Floyd and family friend.
