We have historical exhibits for all ages, handicapped access, and special tours available. Admission is free.

Our museum on North Locust Street, the 1913 historic, former hospital “The Ridgemont,” (Marie Williams house), is open April – December, Friday & Saturday, 12-4pm.

The Society maintains an archive of historic artifacts, documents, and photographs at the museum, as well as a large collections that can be searched in an online database: See Online Collections (opens in new window).

Admission is free, but donations are encouraged.

The Floyd County Historical Society celebrates Floyd County, Virginia through programs including lectures, publications, community outreach, exhibits and through the Society’s museum.
