The Floyd Historical Society welcomes you! Visit us in person when you can. Our Museum is open Fridays and Saturdays, April through December (Apr. 12 – mid-Dec., 2024). Have a look around our website. If you can’t find what you came for, let us know—we’d love to help you find your place. 

The Museum Is Closed for the Season

We’ll be open again April 12. Join us for our Grand Opening celebration 12 to 3 pm, April 27, 2024.

The Floyd County Historical Society celebrates Floyd County, Virginia through programs including lectures, publications, community outreach, exhibits and through the Society’s museum.

The Society maintains an archive of historic artifacts, documents, and photographs at the museum, as well as a large collections that can be searched in an online database: See Online Collections (opens in new window).
